President Rhee Ik Hyeon of the Korea Legislation Research Institute and its executives and staff members visited the Donghae City Hall on May 2nd (Thursday) and donated 3 million won for restoration of forest fire damage in the Gangwon area.

This donation was prepared by volunteer participation of social contribution club members and employees of KLRI to help local residents, who have been severely damaged by large-scale forest fire in the east coast of Gangwon-do.

KLRI President Rhee said, “We have collected monetary donations to extend help to people in Gangwon-do, who are suffering from the sudden disaster, and hope that the victims will restore peace and quiet and return to their daily lives as soon as possible.”

In order to help relieve the local economic recession caused by forest fires in Gangwon-do, KLRI will continue to purchase local agricultural and marine products, organize institutional events in the Gangwon area, and encourage travel thereto, and conduct various activities to normalize the lives of local residents.
