The Korea Legislation Research Institute (KLRI) (President Kye-Hong Kim) held a kick-off ceremony for the New Year 2021 at 10:30 in the morning of January 4, Monday. At the ceremony, there was a time to present the certificate of appointment for those who got promoted and newly employed as well as award for outstanding employees and teams.

Only a small number of related persons attended the event in the effort to prevent the Covid-19 pandemic. The event was broadcast live on KLRI YouTube channel and also on TV set in the institute.

This year’s kick-off ceremony carried different meanings as seven employees including vice president of KLRI Hyun-Chul Kang expressed their aspirations and resolutions for the year, instead of New Year’s message by the president of KLRI.

"The year 2021 is meaningful in a way that we start for the next thirty years after celebrating the 30th anniversary last year," Vice president Kang said. "I hope that we prepare for a future direction of the institute together and communicate with each other for it."
Researcher Tae-Yong Sunwoo at the Legal Translation Center said, “I will keep reminding myself of the missions of KLRI and making efforts for the public happiness and interests throughout the year.”
