KLRI Holds Academic Conference to Celebrate the 28th Anniversary of Its Opening

The Korea Legislation Research Institute held an academic conference to celebrate the 28th anniversary of its opening with the theme of ‘Strategy of Legislative Response for Realization of Social Values’ at its main conference room from 1 pm on July 6.

The academic conference jointly hosted by the Korea Public Law Association, the Korea Society for Legal Theory and Practice, and the Korea Cyber Security Law and Policy Society served as a venue for drawing legislative issues for the realization of social values and seeking strategies to respond to such issues.  

At the conference consisting of three sessions, presentations and discussions were held with the topics of ‘Realization on Social Values and Public Law’, ‘Realization of Social Values and Legislation Practice’, and ‘Realization of Social Values and Cyber Security’.

Detailed themes included ‘Realization on Social Values and Constitution’, ‘Issues on Legislation related to the Socially-Vulnerable and Legislative Tasks’, and ‘Legal Implication of Cyber Security for Social Integration’. Professor Yun Soo-jeong of Gongju National University, Professor Kim Dae-in of Ewha Womans University, Senior Research Fellow Hyun Dae-ho and Research Fellow Jang Min-sun of KLRI, and other experts participated in the event as presenters and discussion panels. 

KLRI President Rhee Ik-hyeon said, “Social values prioritizing common interests are emerging as the key operating principles of economies around the world. In the face of this trend, the Korean government is also pursuing the government operation focusing on social values based on participation and cooperation.” He added, “Today’s conference will provide an opportunity for KLRI to continue research on the legal framework for the systematic realization of social values.”
