KLRI Holds Policy Research Meeting with Ministry of Government Legislation

The Korea Legislation Research Institute (“KLRI”), headed by President Rhee Ik-hyeon, held the 1st policy research consultation meeting of 2018 with the attendance of KLRI President Rhee Ik-hyeon, Minister of Government Legislation Kim Oe-sook and around 30 related persons at a venue in Sejong-si on Monday, June 25.  

The KLRI constantly discovers current issues related to State affairs and regularly holds policy research meetings with relevant institutions including government bodies to gather consensus from various sectors. 

At the meeting, participants discussed measures to hold consultation meetings on current legal issues; hold regular forums to frame future-oriented legislative tasks; and to build a network to facilitate exporting the legal system. 

KLRI President Rhee Ik-hyeon delivered a presentation on the Asia Legal Information Network (“ALIN”) prominently operated by the KLRI and the international cooperative network with five Central Asian countries and proposed jointly promoting legislative consulting and training programs tailored for foreign institutions.

President Lee said, “I hope the KLRI and the Ministry of Government Legislation take the opportunity of today’s policy research meeting to continue to nurture a collaborative relationship.” He added, “We will apply our best endeavors to realize the matters discussed today as soon as possible.”
