The Korea Legislation Research Institute (President: Rhee Ik Hyeon) held the first round table for regional legislation policies under the theme of “Promotion of Uzbek Development Strategies 2017-2021 and Legislative and Political Tasks” at the Plaza on July 25th (Friday). The roundtable was attended by more than 30 people including President Rhee of the KLRI, Chairperson Akmal of the Yuksalish Nationwide Movement of Uzbekistan, Secretary-General Gil Hong Geun of the National Research Council for Economics, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Deputy Director Byun Hyun Sub of the Presidential Committee on Northern Economic Cooperation. 

 

President Rhee and members of the KLRI visited Uzbekistan in April and concluded a business agreement with Yuksalish, a non-profit organization established by Uzbek government as part of the national plan for great social development. Yuksalish members’ visit to Korea was prepared to strengthen cooperation of both institutes, and the Korea Legislation Research Institute plans to actively promote human exchanges including legal system advice and education and training of public officials for improving exchange and cooperation with Yuksalish and Uzbekistan.
