KLRI and Korea Strategic Trade Institute Held Ceremony for Concluding Business Agreement

The Korea Legislation Research Institute (President: Rhee Ik Hyeon) and the Korea Strategic Trade Institute (KOSTI, Chairperson: Bang Soon Ja) concluded a Business Agreement for sharing legal information on strategic export control in the conference room of KOSTI on June 12 (Wednesday).
 
The KOSTI is an institute to provide professional services regarding trade security including determination of strategic materials, related education, and guidance on international sanctions. The agreement was prepared to respond to the demand of the legislative upgrading for the effective implementation of the strategic export control system.
 
The ceremony was attended by President Rhee of the KLRI, Chairperson Bang of the KOSTI and personnel from both institutes. Attendees agreed to mutual cooperation in all fields of strategic materials import and export business, including legal advices on legislation; exchange and education of human resources; sharing and providing legal information were agreed.
 
President Rhee of the KLRI said, “This agreement will serve as an opportunity to expand the research capacity of the KLRI,” and continued, “I hope that the mutual cooperation in terms of human and material resources will contribute to the development of both institutes.”
 
Chairperson Bang of the KOSTI emphasized, “The only specialized institute controlling strategic materials export in Korea and an national research institute specialized in legal affairs will cooperation with each other to prepare effective legislation and contribute to stable strategic export control.”
