The Korea Legislation Research Institute (President Rhee Ik-Hyeon) conducted training on Korean laws on Thursday for 10 senior civil servants in Thailand, including the Thai Deputy Primie Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam, Regulatory Reform Commitee member Praphan Naiyakowit, and the cabinet chief Jaruvan Hengtrakool.
 
The training was organized at the request of the Thai government, which is actively promoting new industry policies among East Asian countries. The Korea Legislation Research Institute, which is involved in the construction of a roadmap for regulatory innovation of autonomous vehicles, has given Thai visitors to know how to establish a comprehensive national strategy for the fourth industrial revolution. The KLRI conducted the training focusing on the introduction of the Korean regulatory sandbox, the legal foundation for fostering the drone industry, and the discovery of regulatory issues for eco-friendly vehicles such as hydrogen electric vehicles.
 
Prior to the training, Rhee Ik-Hyeon, President of the KLRI, met Thailand's Deputy Prime Minister and the Cabinet Secretary to share key research achievements conducted by the KLRI and emphasize the role of the government to successfully lead innovation growth.
 
In addition, he introduced the results of the overseas legislative support carried out by the research institutes at the request of each country, such as support for legislative maintenance of the Vietnam labor law and the enactment of the Fiji Rural Promotion Act.
 
the KLRI promotes the opening of Korean law courses in overseas law college curriculum, and teaches Korean law to overseas law scholars, civil servants, and legislators, trying to improve the status of Korean law.
